The Squid Squad is the go to eging rod for most anglers covering the majority of egi weights and techniques with plenty of power when needed. By bending from the butt, energy is accumulated and the power is transmitted to the high elasticity tip all at once. This helps create powerful casting and jerking that cannot be experienced with a fast taper. The way this rod actioned is achieved is not making the rod as light as possible. To create a true parabolic action a thick blank with some mass is essential.
