GLANZ GB73-X5 – BLACK OUT
OVERVIEW:
Designed as the modern standard for 9-inch, 100g-class swimbait fishing, BLACK OUT brings legacy and innovation together in one masterfully. Based on the iconic “GLANZ B73 Circular” — a legendary original model still sought after by many — this rod has been fully reimagined for today’s demands. BLACK OUT covers a wide weight range from 30g to 200g, accommodating a wide range of lure types — from glide baits and big stickbaits to soft swimbaits and heavy Alabama rigs. Its precise, fingertip-like responsiveness draws fish closer, offering the kind of linear, tactile connection that lets you breathe life into your lure with ease. Whether fishing from shore, wading, boating, or exploring new territory, BLACK OUT adapts seamlessly to any environment. This extraordinary versatility is the essence of the rod — and what makes it indispensable. Its hybrid guide system is tuned for both monofilament and PE lines: reducing resistance and maximizing cast efficiency with mono, while suppressing tip wrap and slack line issues when using PE. If you’re unsure where to start, start here. BLACK OUT is the perfect starting point for anglers new to swimbait fishing — and the go-to choice for seasoned veterans, time and again.

Deliver astonishing distance effortlessly.
GLANZ rods feature a supple yet muscular blank design that stores energy deeply on the takeback and releases it with explosive force.
This generates powerful, accurate longcasts while distributing load across the entire rod to reduce strain on the wrist and thumb.
Even after a full day of casting, fatigue is minimal, keeping your focus sharp until the very last cast.
A level of technical finesse never before possible.
From slow, deliberate movements to sharp, aggressive input, every nuance of angler intent is transferred directly underwater.
Whether it’s glide baits or big stickbaits, GLANZ brings command and control to a wide variety of lures—regardless of lure weight.
Never miss that one chance.
GLANZ delivers exceptional hook-up performance through its flexible yet firm blank, reducing missed bites and lost fish.
From hookset to landing, the rod absorbs and controls the combined load of the fish and lure—giving you the confidence to finish the fight.
Eliminating line trouble before it ever happens.
GLANZ models are equipped with optimized original guide systems: PE-exclusive setups or dual PE/mono configurations, depending on the model.
Each rod also features ZENAQ’s proprietary assist guide, delivering a seamless, trouble-free experience that lets you stay fully locked in.
Feel the difference from the first touch.
GLANZ solves this by incorporating an ultra-dense EVA grip directly beneath the reel seat—minimizing compression and maximizing energy transmission through casting, lure control, and fish fighting.
A trusted detail for uncompromised casting confidence.
what if a sudden backlash strikes at that very moment?
The massive load, amplified by casting momentum, can recoil instantly and rip the entire tackle from your hands.
Even the thought of that risk can cause anglers to subconsciously hold back on their cast.
That’s why every GLANZ rod comes equipped with a long metal sleeve designed for leash cord attachment.
If unexpected line trouble occurs, it ensures your rod stays secured.
Elegant security—built to back your boldest cast.
Stability and precision in every swing.
All GLANZ models come equipped with ZENAQ’s original balancer ring and custom grip end, designed not only to fine-tune balance, but to eliminate torsion during powerful casts.
The lightweight and highly maneuverable High Cork End (GB73-X5 / GB67-X10 / GB84-X10),
and the high-strength Rubber End for full-power casts with the heaviest lures (GB80-X20 / GB78-X78).
