This is a heavier gauge circle hook for bigger fish but with a straight shank. It is a great hook to use for all large cut baits in both ‘floater’ and deepwater paternoster rigs, or with live baits. It can be slow trolled with live bait for sailfish/small marlin.
A great hook to use with all the advantages of circle design which ensures as close to 100% catch rate after hook-up.

Gamakatsu’s Nano Alpha series introduces a breakthrough in hook performance through advanced coating technology. The Nano Alpha finish is 2× slicker than conventional plated hooks, resulting in faster and more reliable penetration even with minimal pressure. This enhanced sharpness translates to a higher hook-up rate across all fishing applications.

Engineered for durability, the Nano Alpha coating is up to 4× more corrosion resistant than standard finishes, providing extended service life in both freshwater and saltwater environments. This significantly reduces hook degradation and maintains point integrity over prolonged use.
