On top of through calculation of wind resistance, we reached this body shape. This one is loaded with three tungsten ball of 7mm. Thanks to the fin keel set under the lip, it became possible to keep stable flying posture no matter how the wind blows. That means this lure realized top class flying distance compared to other floating minnows of the same size.
【Swimming】
HI-STANDARD 150 catches the water immediately and start to swim sharply in a moment, and what good about this feature is that the lip turns aside the water-resistant properly so that it works well in any speed of water. When the flow changes and hits the fin keel, HI-STANDARD will make slide action so that irregular movement is added and this attracts the predator. Moreover, this lure is suitable for autumn to winter seasons (when, in Japan, the sea always is stormy, but big predators await under that) because this lure flies well even in terrible weather. While 120mm version is any time of the year type lure, the 150mm version is specialized to aiming at giant predators when they only pick a fair size of baits like mullets, threadfin shad, Ochi ayu, Hata-Hata.
The biggest difference is its increased presence. To keep enough floatage, we made the body relatively big, so it didn’t lose sharp actions which are highly appealing.
Also, the thick body succeeded in putting 34g weight while keeping its feature as a floating lure, so it realized top-class flying distance compared to other floating minnows of the same size.
