Overview
The EGI-OH SEARCH Shallow Type is tuned for efficiently covering shallow flats where the Basic Type can’t reach, letting you pick off highly active squid fast.
A high-appeal spec that pairs intense light and distinctive sound to trigger the feeding mode of active squid.
The function for strong appeal
Strobe Fin
The STROBE FIN which is put on the back has the function to generate the strong flap action. This flashing with the flap action makes an appeal to the eyes.
Flat Side
The flat side body reflects the light strongly after flap action with the STROBE FIN.
Search Rattle
The sound level with the rattles are around 600Hz and it’s the ideal level for squid to hear it.
A little faster sink rate
Tuned to fall a bit quicker so you can search broadly, shallow water at a brisk pace.
Neon Bright
Keimura body (U.V. Body) usually reflects in the blueish light wavelength.
But the light wavelength variation in this new series “NEON BRIGHT” are not only blue but also red and green.
490 Glow
For many years squid anglers all over the world have used jigs equipped with glow material. Now, research shows the best wavelength of visible light for squid is 490 nm. This is a tuned glow of 490 nm which YAMASHITA discovered with the research from a leading Japanese university is the best glow color for the squids eyes to detect. “Glow of 490 nm wavelength is most perceivable for squid.
Blue eyes and blue feathers are exclusive markers of the Shallow Type.
